This three-day OFQUAL regulated training programme has been designed for learners who are working with swimming pools day in day out, or who are responsible for those who are, and provides the necessary knowledge to understand the requirements for efficient and safe pool plant operation. It is accredited at Level 3 on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Course features

Learners will participate in taught sessions, engage in question and answer sessions, complete exercises, problem solving, participate in a pool water testing workshop etc. and will complete a workbook which will be assessed.

There is also a multiple choice exam to be completed.

Prerequisites - what's required to participate?

You must be at least 18 years old on the start date of the course.

Career Development

This qualification enables the learner to work in a Leisure centre or Pool Plant environment whilst fully complying with the recommended learning requirements of HSG179 and the CIMSPA occupational standards for pool plant operators.
